Breanna Boyce is a proudly self-proclaimed Army Brat, because of her mother who was active military for many years. After traveling and living in many states growing up, she now happily calls Southern Minnesota "home."

Breanna earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from MSU, Mankato in 2013, and later graduated from St. Catherine University with her second major certificate in American Sign Language Interpreting in 2017. She is a nationally certified ASL interpreter that works in many various settings, and truly loves her job.

When she has any free time, Breanna loves going for walks with friends, working on a puzzle, watching TV or movies, coloring, baking, or reading a book on her Kindle! Breanna loves anything and everything Disney, Harry Potter, Bridgerton, and musical theater.

Breanna joined the Camp Sertoma Leadership team in the summer of 2021, and is happy to continue coming back. Camp is a highlight of her summer each year, and she has a passion for making camp accessible and enjoyable for as many campers as possible.

Jacqui Shasky grew up for the majority of her life in the Twin Cities with her parents, 3 brothers and sister. She has lived with a mild hearing loss in both ears since birth. She wore Hearing aids in both ears until 2016 when she got a Cochlear Implant in her right ear. She has grown up in and around both the hard of hearing and Deaf world.

Jacqui received lots of support from her teachers and parents growing up, so she decided she wanted to be a teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH). She first went and got a Bachelors of Art degree in Elementary Education and a Minor in Special Education from Concordia University in Saint Paul. Jacqui later went to University of Utah to work on a License in Deaf/Hard of Hearing. She came back to MN and started working as a TDHH for the last 15+ years in Southern Minnesota.

Having a hearing loss hasn’t stopped her from traveling across the United States with friends and family. In Jacqui’s spare time she loves to read books (both on my Kindle and listening while driving), watch movies, put together puzzles, go for walks/hikes to enjoy nature and spend time with her nieces and nephew whenever possible.

Jacqui joined the Leadership team in the summer of 2021! She looks forward to coming back every summer to help every camper meet new friends, help them try new things, as well as to gain confidence and courage to move forward in whatever direction they want in their lives.
